Two new TUMs that look nice:

Mikko Innanen w/ William Parker & Andrew Cyrille

Bill Laswell & Milford Graves

well, amended: YMMV w/ the latter. Duos with Graves are always a good idea, but I can't stand Bill Laswell. Total cheeseball. But I'd keep an open mind for this one.

Only listened the once, but the focus on the Graves/Laswell seems to be more toward Laswell. If it weren't for the scarcity of recordings by Graves...

As much as I love Milford Graves' music, there's no way I put up with Laswell just to hear it.

I don't know how Clean Feed keep up their release schedule.

It's often the case with Clean Feed that musicians bring them completed sessions, and Clean Feed packages and distributes them. I don't think they originate too many themselves. So the release schedule is not so imposing as it first appears.

Not a lot that caught my attention (that I don't already have), but I picked up:

Sten Sandell Trio + John Butcher - Strokes

Marty Ehrlich's Rites Quartet - Frog Leg Logic

Empty Cage Quartet - Gravity

Not at all familiar with the last one, but the blurbs swung me (Waddada is a fan).

I like those ones, would be keen to hear your thoughts on them if you get a chance.

I find one Laswell/Graves recording on Spotify, called The Stone, with the label given as M.O.D. Technologies, 2014.

And that's a good one.

Somewhat preferable to the TUM, I think (Graves a bit more prominent in the mix, for one thing).

Some searching around found me two others that I hadn't run into before

Laswell with Leo Smith - also called "The Stone" on the M.O.D. Technnologies site (MP3 and FLAC downloads) - sample sounded promising.

Leo Smith "Taif - Prayer In The Garden of Hijaz" - 27 minute MP3/FLAC download on the Naxos label, With Anthony Brown and string quartet - sample sounded a continuation of the "Ten Freedom Summers" concept.

Two new Rogue Arts:

Roscoe Mitchell Trio (Fei/Winant) - Angel City

Matthew Shipp Trio (Bisio/Dickey) - For Duke

That Shipp "For Duke" should be really good. I heard him play much of it in concert and it was great. And Roscoe of course........

if it's the concert recording, I'm told by fans of both parties that it was one of the dumbest things they ever saw.

on Colin's reissue note, where did you hear about Karayobin coming out again? It's a great album, but of course the avalanche of new stuff puts historical greatness in perspective.

That was more of an "I wish/yeah right" thing. I emailed Martin Davidson about it and he said Evan Parker was going to reissue it through psi, but since the label is defunct he doesn't know what his plans are.

Anyone know how to get in touch with Evan Parker....?

Neuringer is an incredible player. I've been crying in the wilderness for a while about him. That particular disc has been out a while. This guy could share the stage with any sax player you care to mention.

Yeah keen as for the Shipp Duke album, looks like that'll be my first new release of 2015. Shipp's on a roll, the group's on a roll, and the connection with Ellington is mighty tasty. Link to the label's site here: http://web.roguart.com/shop/album/id/85?symfony=92b3498277ab9c3f86c82a62379855de

Samples are now available on the Rogue Art website and they sound really, really good (obvious low quality files on the website aside). Quite excited for this.
