LF/ Jerry Bergonzi Standard Gonz and Lineage

Wow, the cheapest one on Amazon is $35. I imagine that if you are patient it will turn up for less. I don't really believe that this cd would command that kind of dough.

By the $35 you are referring to the Standard Gonz. It is a really good date that I do not see that much on Ebay or in the used stores. As for Lineage, all of the cds on the Italian Red Label are out of print. The label's website is not up to date. That said, Jazzloft has a bunch of Red label issues for sale including Lineage. Having just bought some of this label from Jazzloft-you can't assume that it has the cd in stock even if it shows on their website.

Yes, I was referring to Standard Gonz. I don't know, when I see cd's listed at Amazon for that kind of money its not the same as seeing, for instance, a completed auction price at eBay. There are 9 listed right now for between $35 - $143. I could put my copy up there too but that doesn't indicate the market value. Sooner or later some of these sellers will come down on the price, well, maybe not the guy looking for $143.

"Standard Gonz" on Blue Note is very rare and has been hard to find for years. When I pulled out a copy for Jerry to sign, he said that he doesn't even have a copy.
