Dan Gould Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 Turns out my in-laws were sitting on a $40 Nook gift card for my birthday in September. I'm spending $15 for Last Full Measure, a military history book about combat deaths from pre-history to today, but have no idea of anything else. And I'll probably get another gift card for Christmas so all recommendations are appreciated! Quote
Big Beat Steve Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 There was talk of a TEDDY WEATHERFORD biography here some time ago that is only available in e-book form and was said to be pretty good. Don't know anything about e-reader formats and don't know about your musician/bio preferences but there you are anyway ... Quote
Dan Gould Posted November 8, 2012 Author Report Posted November 8, 2012 Steve, I have very similar tastes to yours in blues/R&B, so any bios or books you would recommend are appreciated. Thanks. Quote

Don't know anything about e-reader formats and don't know about your musician/bio preferences but there you are anyway ... The book is Piano Demon by Brendan Koerner. It's short, and just good, rather than great, but it's only $1.99 on Amazon. I was going to recommend it when I saw this thread, but I couldn't find it at Barnes & Noble. It seems to be available only for the Amazon Kindle; I have no idea whether the download would be compatible with the Nook. Quote
