Matthew Posted November 22, 2012 Author Report Posted November 22, 2012 They nearly always stink on the second game of a back-to-back. Even more so now that they're old. Loved D'antoni's comment: "Showtime? That was Muppettime!" Quote

paul secor Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Watched the Lakers beat Denver late last night (late here, anyway). Afterward, they celebrated as if they had just won the NBA championship. Reality check, guys. You were playing at home and playing a team you should have a pretty good chance of beating, and you're a .500 team. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 How can the Fakers lose to Orlando? Quote
Noj Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 Because they're not good right now. Starting and backup point guards are hurt. Their older players are having a tough time playing defense. There's not enough shooters to spread the floor so they're all struggling on offense. D'Antoni was the wrong choice for coach because he's never had post players. Etc. etc. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 The Bullets beat the Heat!!! Quote
Quincy Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 That quote by Kobe about Pau has started something. Quote

Soulstation1 Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 The Mamba is the first player to the 30K / 30K club 30K points and 30K "ladies" Quote
Noj Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 (edited) They're on third and fourth string point guards plus Pau Gasol is out, and the roster isn't deep enough to overcome that many guys out. Plus idiot stick Jimmy Buss hired D'Antoni instead of Phil Jackson aka the best coach in NBA history. Personally, as much as I like Gasol, I think they should move him, Artest, and any players not named Bryant, Howard, Nash, or Jordan Hill for shooters/youth and a better backup point guard. That, and Jimmy should hand the reigns back to Jeannie. Edited December 12, 2012 by Noj Quote
Quincy Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 (edited) Personally, as much as I like Gasol, I think they should move him... It makes complete sense moving him for a couple of guys to deepen the team but due to the tendonitis (and boy do I feel for him - it's absolute painful hell!) what they'll get for him is less & less for each day he's out, as whoever takes him is taking more of a chance. (Btw, Hi Philly). And while I know it's early, does a small part of you think "fuck, Howard isn't the future, or not one I want to be a part of." Uh, unless Donald the Mafia Clown outlaws Hack-A-Shaq. That, and Jimmy should hand the reigns back to Jeannie. You know it! Jeannie comes across as being bright anytime you hear her interviewed. Jimmy? Duhr... Edited December 12, 2012 by Quincy Quote

Uh, unless Donald the Mafia Clown outlaws Hack-A-Shaq. I actually wasn't that thrilled to get Howard. I guess it's better than China Doll Bynum. Howard might spend one season in a Lakers uniform and leave for all we know. Temperamental prima donna. I've actually prepared myself mentally for the prospect that Kobe's career will peter out with a whimper, and that the Lakers will be back to square one as a franchise. I lived through the Vlade Divac years, I know what it's like for them to be shitty. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) NEVER thought I'd write this..... Flippin' Clippers are the hottest team in the league Anyone see Wade kick that guy in the ballzz? One game suspension for Flash Howard fouled a guy in the face? $30K fine Easy way to beat the Fakers Let the Mamba score 40pts Edited December 28, 2012 by Soulstation1 Quote
PHILLYQ Posted December 29, 2012 Report Posted December 29, 2012 I was a bit surprised about Avery Johnson getting fired. Granted, the Nets had a bad December, but I thunk there's maybe 2-3 players from last year, and it takes time to gel. Quote
