Quincy Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 The AL West will be a very interesting division this season -- The A's, Angels and the Rangers should all be good teams this year, might even get a wild card team out of the West. And they'll have all those games against the M's & Astros to inflate their records. Man, 19 games against each division opponent. Remember that come October when we start comparing W-L records. Quote

Dan Gould Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Red Sox finally 'officially' signed Napoli - and now its a one year, five million base with incentives that bring it back to the original AAV of 13 million. Me likey although its not like Napoli would be blocking any hotshot prospect but if the medicals scared them that much, a one year deal sounds good to me. Let him tattoo the Monster in 2013 and go back on the market next year. Quote

GA Russell Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 As great as he was, I always felt that Stan the Man was undervalued, perhaps because he played in St. Louis instead of New York. JSngry Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I never heard anybody say anything really bad about Stan Musial as a ballplayer or as a human. To me, that's the ultimate championship. Quote

Neal Pomea Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Earl Weaver. The angels better not be making any boneheaded plays in the field today. He'll be up in their face and on their case. Quote
Dan Gould Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Carl Erskine: I've had pretty good success with Musial by throwing my best pitch and then backing up third. Quote
