Rooster_Ties Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 Anybody have a list of what all the 31 "Swiss Radio Days" series releases are? I knew there were a good dozen or more, but had no idea until recently that the series was still going - and am curious what all I might have been missing. Quote
kh1958 Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 There's a current sale on TCB titles here: http://www.allegro-music.com/label_search.asp?label=TCB Quote
felser Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 The Louis Hayes/Woody Shaw Swiss Radio Days set is spectacular, probably up there next to the incredible 'Live at the Berliner Jazztage' as my two favorite Shaw recordings (and I basically have all of his leader/co-leader releases). Agreed. This is a really good one. Quote
jazzbo Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 I still don't see why Columbia/Sony and the estate haven't released these 'fifties and early 'sixties live recordings, what a missed opportunity. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 I have the Woody Shaw one too, and it is fantastic. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 Do Swiss radios have holes and a subtle but sharp oder? The title "Swiss Radio Days" has a sense of the past to it. Do they still have radios? Quote
king ubu Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 Only ones that look like radios but have been emptied out to hide Mittensteins Romneyisms inside Quote
