Yes, I noticed that, I wonder why.

I'm looking forward to the late night Saturday set, as Stacy Dillard is there again; last Saturday's set by his trio was fabulous.

he is fabulously talented. occasionally, when he gets to drinkin', he sits down at the piano with tenor in his lap and chords beautifully; i could listen to tivon play piano forever. to me, he's a much better more sensitive pianist than reed man.

Last night featured a pair of piano trios--I caught a set by the Uri Caine Trio, followed by a really dynamic set by the Jean Michel Pilc trio, featuring Richard Bona on bass guitar.

Tonight's early set is the Spike Wilner quartet, with Melissa Aldana on tenor sax.

I'll be in NYC in a couple of weeks and am planning to see Harold Mabern. I can't figure out what their ticket policy is, though - anyone have information on that?
