Rooster_Ties Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) I don't know--I don't think I've ever heard Gorelick play that well. You know, honestly, that clip really was more interesting than anything I've ever heard by the G-man previously. Edit to say PS: I don't think I've ever made it through an entire Kenny G clip, to the end. But I definitely had no problem listening to this one. For reals. JSngry Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Srsly - if I see the word "shred" in the same sentence as those two and there's no footage of their blood and/or stray flesh/bone bits hitting the wall and/or floor as the shredding is undertaken and continues I feel just a little cheated. BFrank Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I've seen a bunch of these over the past couple of years and I always end up in hysterics! Quote
flat5 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 It must take quite a bit of time to put these together. The speed and number of notes matches the fingers. Quote

robertoart Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 don't talk to me about Bolton. Do tell. Did you 'encounter' him at some point? Quote
AllenLowe Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) well....when I worked for the mayor of New Haven, who was the first African American mayor of that city, I ran the summer jazz fest. Bolton was from a nearbye place - Milford, I think. Someone came up with the idea to ask him to do a benefit for our summer music concerts; we asked and asked and he was always "too busy." We got out of office - and the next summer he did a benefit for the new, White, mayor. I don't believe it was an accident; though they may not have intentionally snubbed my boss, if was part of a whole series of things that happened in which he continually got less respect than equivalent white politicians. I see it as similar to a lot of the things Obama has suffered - a sense that the White guy is the competent guy, the one you HAVE to listen to. Edited September 19, 2012 by AllenLowe Quote
