Leeway Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Just noticed this. Another clueless EBAY seller. OTOH, maybe by the time the auction closes, the set will indeed be out of print! If it goes for this price, you could afford music AND electricity. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=43620 Quote
EKE BBB Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Go for the Blue Mitchell Mosaic... but make sure you leave one for me! Quote
Brad Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 I say go for the bill. Without the juice, you can't live. Jazz is fun and to many our hobby but comes secondary to the basic necessities. Hopefully, Blue won't sell out before you pay the bill. Quote
chris olivarez Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 I realize this makes me somewhat of a hypocrite because I own this set but pay the bill. Being without electricity really sucks and if you're place is electrically heated and it's cold where you are this time of the year it sucks twice as hard. Quote
MartyJazz Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 I started to look up Electric Bill on AMG. Didn't want to be missing out (glad I'm not!) Les Paul hit the top of the most likely matches by the way. I thought Electric Bill referred to Frisell in which case, I'd definitely opt for the Blue. Marty Quote
desertblues Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Looks like it's about two to one in favor of the Mitchell-just make sure your energizers are fresh! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 To those who voted "Electric Bill": I must admit I'm impressed at the number of sane, responsible, mature adults that frequent this board. You gentlemen are to be commended and make me proud to know you! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 To those who voted "Blue Mitchell": Hey guys; get a load of those chumps! Quote

Yes, this set is that good. Quote
BeBop Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 My advice: Buy two Blues. As soon as they go OOP, sell one on eBay. You'll get enough to pay for the sold set, and a premium to pay the electricity bill and late fees. Problem solved. Look at it this way, if you don't buy the Blue now, next month you won't get another chance. If you don't pay the electric bill, you'll get another chance next month, and a week after that and three days later... P.S. Don't take my advice. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted February 19, 2004 Author Report Posted February 19, 2004 just got off the horn with mosaic, i finally ordered this set. mosaic said there are about 60 sets left. anyone want to stop over for some peanut butter and jelly "sam"wiches? i have some strawberry jelly if you like. ss1 Quote

Hardbopjazz Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 Take it from someone that has the Blue set. It's worth it. You can listen to it next month when the lights are again. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 So SoulStation, do you have lights? Quote
wesbed Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 So SoulStation, do you have lights? Heh! Quote
wesbed Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 I'm listening to the Blue Mitchell Mosaic as I type these words this evening. Sometimes the Blue Mitchell Mosaic sounds, to me, like too many 'Sidewinders' in the same box. Tonight, however, Blue's middle-weight horn is speaking to me. Quote
woofy Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Maybe you can run an extension cord to your neighbor's house... Quote
