Soulstation1 Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 (edited) This Should Be 100% ss1 Edited January 28, 2004 by Soulstation1 Quote
jazzbo Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I chose the electric bill. Electricity is needed to spin all your other cds. Without electricity. . . . We don't want to go there. Quote
Tjazz Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 You can always go to the library to listen to Blue Mitchell. Quote
doubleM Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 (edited) Blue Mitchell and a time-installment $ plan. I'm not exactly known for my financial wisdom, but Blue is going OOP, and you can catch up on y'r power bill. Edited January 28, 2004 by doubleM Quote
Soulstation1 Posted January 28, 2004 Author Report Posted January 28, 2004 i have a discman and rechargable batteries. i just need to make sure the batteries are fully charged "if" the power goes out. Quote
Dan Gould Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Gotta go with Blue. I mean, if electric companies have programs to cut you some slack and keep the electricity on, they ought to be understanding if the electric bill $$ goes to a soon-to-be OOP Mosaic set, right? Quote
undergroundagent Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Well, you can get at least some of Mitchell's albums as domestic or import single albums. Thus, I would pass on the Mosaic at this time. Heck, you might even be able to get the set on this board or even ebay at some point. Don't mess with the electric man... Quote
PHILLYQ Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 You gotta have juice, man... You can catch up to Blue Mitchell on Ebay if you miss it now, but no juice creates some serious problems for food storage, bathroom in the dark, etc. However, that installment plan idea is a verrrrry interesting third(compromise) option... Jim Alfredson Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I went with Blue simply because by the fact that this thread exists I'm assuming you're not married... and this is the only time in your life that you can get away with this shit! I can't make such important decisions anymore... "Hm, pay my credit card bill or buy that new pair of interconnects?" Quote
Claude Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 You can always go to the library to listen to Blue Mitchell. Or any other public place that has electricity Quote
Big Al Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Yer gonna need electricity to spin BLUES FOR LOU!!! Dig that while saving up for the Blue! Quote
mgraham333 Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Wal-Mart has extension cords on sale. Your neighbor has an outdoor outlet. hmmmm...... Quote

Quincy Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I started to look up Electric Bill on AMG. Didn't want to be missing out (glad I'm not!) Les Paul hit the top of the most likely matches by the way. The Blue is great. But so is electricity... Quote
kulu se mama Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 i agree with quincy. i was thinking, "i've heard of Electric Miles, but i'm not sure what he means by Electric Bill." duh. Quote
Tjazz Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 You can always visit one of the members on this board who has Blue Mitchell. Quote
Upright Bill Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 i agree with quincy. i was thinking, "i've heard of Electric Miles, but i'm not sure what he means by Electric Bill." duh. I don't know what he means either. I only play Upright never Electric (Bass). Well almost never . Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Don't know who Electric Bill is, never heard his music (you're not confusing him with Upright Bill, I hope), but go for Blue. Since I have not heard of Electric Bill. he must be one of those many utility players while Blue Mitchell is FINE. Quote

Ed S Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Ever hear of the Ramen Noodle Soup diet? B) You can get 6 packages for a buck round these parts. That's lunch and dinner for a week for a little over 2 bucks. Drink lots of water. What do you pay for lunch every day - about 5 bucks? Dinner - another 5 bucks? That's 10 bucks a day x7 days a week = $70. Subtract the 2 bucks for the Ramen Noodle Soup and that leaves $68 - and your Mitchell set. The more you eat, the more you save You can definitely have your cake (or Ramen Noodle Soup) and eat it too! No pain, no gain There is no try, only do. Quote
Guest Chaney Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Buy the Mitchell Mosaic and, as a pre-emptive strike, move back in with your parents. If your parents are deceased, I'm sorry. If they're alive and you're currently living in that small bedroom, I'm even more sorry. Please also consider moving in with my Mom as I'm sure she'd enjoy the company and as we'd then be practically brothers, I could "borrow" your set... and forget to return it in that cool older brother sort of way. Please get back to me on this ASAP as otherwise I'll have to buy the damn set for myself. Quote
JSngry Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Hey Tony, you got any fake books for sale? Quote
