Monterey Jazz Festival Records: what happened?

I just have a few of these, listened to the excellent Monterey Quartet disc a few days, but what happened? There were supposed to be releases by Joe Henderson and Grover Washington Jr a few years ago I thought? It was a great label.

Maybe all of those recording went to Wolfgang's Vault.

That would be a shame if they did, in lieu of official releases. Maybe the series did not sell well?

Seeing as how they've been completely turned over to the cutout bins, I'd say no, they did not sell well.

The Miles title is great. I had asked Jason Olaine on FB about the series once, never got a response.

Care to elaborate? My birthday is coming up and I've asked my brother to re-instate my subscription, which lapsed a year ago when he failed to make good on my birthday request then. So I'd love to know what you object to, in case it makes me want to change my mind.

They suddenly and without any warning removed lossless, confiscated members' store credit and removed the Paypal option. And all of this was labelled as an "improvement".

As a result I didn't renew my membership either. What did they expect?
