Larry Kart Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 If this is real, and I think it is, good grief: P.S. In case you can't tell, he's trying to play "My Way." A certain justice in that. Quote
TedR Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 I couldn't tell how old this player is but he sounds like any number of young students just learning to play. In any case, my dogs get relaxed and nap when music is on. When they heard this, they became very agitated. Quote
Head Man Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 Sounds like me when I tried to learn the alto sax many years ago. My "piece de resistance" was "Three Blind Mice"! Quote
Dave James Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 If this is real, and I think it is, good grief: P.S. In case you can't tell, he's trying to play "My Way." A certain justice in that. I'm convinced that this is Ornette Coleman. Quote
JETman Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 Sort of looks like Bob Mintzer of Yellowjackets fame! Quote
DTMX Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) I was driving to work one morning about 5AM and put the radio on WREK, Georgia Tech's radio station. Listened for about 5 seconds and said "that's the worst saxophone I've ever heard in my life". Then about 10 seconds later I realized I was listening to myself on a CD that I had sent them a couple of years earlier. Edited August 29, 2012 by DTMX Quote
Larry Kart Posted August 29, 2012 Author Report Posted August 29, 2012 I thought the clip was going to end with someone shoving the mouthpiece down his throat. Quote
AllenLowe Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 may have gone into a different opening - Quote
Swinging Swede Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 Great clips! Perhaps they should join forces and become the new Griff & Lock or something. First they might however want to learn a lesson or two from the most viewed saxophonist on YouTube, namely Epic Sax Guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1kApnsayeQ Quote
