ATR Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 I noticed there are several versions of the Tony Williams Lifetime album. In particular, amazon lists two. One is a 'remaster', the other is the Esoteric label version with an extra track, One Word. I ordered the remaster, and when I pressed to pay a box came up asking if I wanted to share the information about my order on fakebook. Ha. But in the box it said I was receiving a 24 bit import version. I doubt this is true, but in any event who knows what the available versions of this are on CD? If you have an opinion as to how they compare please feel free to share, of course. Quote
StarThrower Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 Esoteric is a classy label. The price is a bit higher, but the product is top quality and comes with nice booklet of rare photos, and extensive notes. Whether Turn It Over sounds any better than previous versions, I couldn't tell you. Quote
CJ Shearn Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 I have the 1997 Verve CD issue, where "One Word" is a bonus track as well. Both that and "Emergency" were recorded pretty low fi, but "Turn It Over" sounds better. Quote
ATR Posted August 20, 2012 Author Report Posted August 20, 2012 Fakebook? That's what I call it, Chuck. Hope you didn't invest your IRA there. Quote
