Posnanski was/is a "Saint" Paterno shill.

Try checking Penn St's record before (hell, just check from 1993.) and shortly after the real reason Penn St. became a powerhouse and was known as Linebacker U "retired." after the 1999 Alama Bowl game....the same Bowl game if I am not mistaken that the pedophile raped one of his victims.

Oh yeah, the guy who originally matriculated to that sub par University that is Brown to be a lawyer didn't even know what sodomy meant amongst other things.

Posnanski has been a complete embarrassment with regards to the "Saint" since the whole thing first became public.

I hold no brief (or briefs, for that matter) for Sandusky or Paterno, but while it's certainly possible that the Freeh Report was conducted in a rock-solid manner, it should be remembered that Freeh himself had a fairly ghastly record as FBI Director and also was quite ethically challenged in his behavior there:

considering the source of pay for this investigative effort, i fully expected a veritable white wash. freeh's findings puzzle me.

I think everyone was expecting a white wash, or something that passed the buck as much as possible. Instead it was something that could end up costing Penn St. $500 - $700 million or more.

It's already cost $72+ million between the fine and cost of the investigation and 12-years worth of games.

If Freeh screwed up the investigation....he definitely didn't help Penn St. in doing so. He ended up with a lot more information than the NCAA (which doesn't have subpoena powers) would have ever come across. Freeh also shared all that information with prosecutors.....which is really what the Paternos, Spanier and the rest are worried about....since the prosecutors and the victims attorneys might have never found about things if they didn't know what they were looking for.
