Very shocking and sad news: New Orleans raised and London based trumpeter Abram Wilson died yesterday after a short battle with cancer.

Shocking news. He was featured on a radio show just a few weeks back and I was looking forward to checking him out in a month or so's time at the Swanage Fest. A total tragedy. RIP.

Really sad. I never played with Abram, but had the pleasure of hanging out with him a couple of times fairly recently. Beside his playing, truly a nice guy - and (I can vouch because we shared a pupil) a complete inspiration as an educator.
