sidewinder Posted June 11, 2012 Report Posted June 11, 2012 Shocking news. He was featured on a radio show just a few weeks back and I was looking forward to checking him out in a month or so's time at the Swanage Fest. A total tragedy. RIP. Quote
JohnS Posted June 11, 2012 Report Posted June 11, 2012 Very sad, a tragedy, we were looking forward to him opening our next season of concerts at Portsmouth Jazz. Quote
ValerieB Posted June 11, 2012 Report Posted June 11, 2012 this is incredibly sad. beyond sad. such a big talent and a kind, giving person. and, last but not least, the tragedy of his being so young. my heartfelt condolences to his wife, family and friends. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted June 11, 2012 Report Posted June 11, 2012 RIP Enjoyed his playing with a number of bands over the years, especially those associated with Dune. Quote
Alexander Hawkins Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 Really sad. I never played with Abram, but had the pleasure of hanging out with him a couple of times fairly recently. Beside his playing, truly a nice guy - and (I can vouch because we shared a pupil) a complete inspiration as an educator. Quote
sidewinder Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 Obit for Abram in today's Daily Telegraph. The story of how he came to arrive at these shores is interesting. Abram Wilson Obit Quote
