The number of such "Parker" alto saxophones (i.e. ones that he had his hands on that ended up in, and then perhaps emerged from, pawn shops) must be considerable, perhaps more so than in the case of any other jazz musician of note.

I was surprised that the promo article didn't mentioned the make and model of the horn, unless I missed it. I had to dig into the History Detective transcript to find it. It's a Beuscher Aristocrat - a nice horn at that time.

not really a Bird Horn, than - more like one he just picked up on the fly. The real Bird horns, I would say, are the King Super 20 and the Conn 6M.

Though the Aristocrats in the 247XXX number series are considered very similar to the 6M -

Seems to me there was a thread not so long ago that was either about Peter King or involved him. I know it caused me to go to the mattresses for an hour or so listening to some of his music. Definitely sponge worthy.
