The NY Times reviewer wrote: "Now that Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Alfred Brendel have performed "Die Winterreise" here, which they did at Carnegie Hall on Tuesday night, other singers and pianists may be hesitant about undertaking interpretations of the Schubert song cycle in New York for years to come."
