Pete C Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 I loved him. It didn't get much funkier. Reminded me of the energy of Jorge Ben's bands. Luckily a saw him last year at Celebrate Brooklyn on a bill with Dr. John and Sunny Jain's band Red Baraat. I also caught him once at the D.C. BBQ festival. Quote
CJ Shearn Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Wasn't Chuck Brown's group where Ricky Wellman got his start? Quote

robertoart Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 (edited) I like this one too. It's like a half way point between Bobby Rush and Disco-Johnny Guitar Watson fighting their way out of a Smooth Jazz soup. I love it. Edited October 14, 2012 by freelancer Quote
