I thought it sounded like "motoring" but I though, "That can't be right... it doesn't make any sense!" Sure enough.... Quote

Parkertown Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Yup, chalk 'em up as a guilty pleasure! "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" "Rumors In The Air" rock so damn hard. Hello, my name is Scott, and I love Night Ranger. Only the first 3 albums though... Quote

dave9199 Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 The first concert I ever saw was KISS when I was 13, and Night Ranger opened. So technically, ugh, Night Ranger was the first band I ever saw live....I have to throw up now. The drummer was situated front stage right and sideways so when he turned to sing, he was looking at the crowd. It was the last original tour of KISS before they took their make up off. I didn't know Ace Frehley wasn't there. It was Vinny Vincent. I saw them in 1996, very glad to have seen them. Anyway, Night Ranger, blah! Quote

Noj Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Night Ranger epitomizes my eldest brother Tom's favorite music. All 80s metal, all the time at his house! I heard it a whole lot growing up and must admit to liking some of it. I've got another brother who strictly likes 80s alternative. Why they close themselves into that one time frame/one genre is a mystery to me. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted January 23, 2004 Author Report Posted January 23, 2004 Oh good Lord... From a fellow at the Tape Op message board: Quote That fuckassedly bad painting of him on the horse was done by his WIFE. Knock me over with a goddamn feather on THAT one. He lives near me in Petaluma, CA (or used to about eight years ago) and there was this friend-of-a-friend that had been inside his lovely McMansion. Apparently the place was fairly riddled with lo-grade wife-art featuring Mr. Watson in various depictions of Boris Vallejo-esque gallantry. The solo album cover art was featured el-grande in the entry foyer or what have you. Quote

CraigP Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) I always thought they were singing "You're Motorhead" but that didn't make any sense. "You're motoring" isn't much better. Edited December 6, 2012 by CraigP Quote
