I'll be able to replace the vinyl rip I found. I know Wounded Bird licenses tapes from Sony, but I'm surprised this isn't making its first appearance in the Complete Columbia Albums Collection, surprised they haven't done so for Freddie.

Gleam came in the mail yesterday, and I really enjoyed it on first listen; Freddie is in tip top form. This is the same group that I saw live around the same time here in Dallas (without the conga player).

Just got this as a special order at Landlocked Music here in Bloomington... listening to disc 1 right now while at work. Really digging not just Freddie's playing, but the band in general... going to feature this on the "Jazz From Indiana" Thursday edition of the afternoon show this week.

Oh I recommend picking this one up as soon as possible! It's on Wounded Bird who delete titles only after a couple years, and this one's got a two year head start!. It's highly worth it.

It looks like i'm going to have to dig out my vinyl of Gleam and High Energy. Neither have been played for years but they are the only Hubbard Columbias I've kept so I must have some affection for them.
