mr jazz
bought the FLAC download. Excellent sound given its age and terrific performances, IMO. Anyone else heard this?
Stereojack
bought the FLAC download. Excellent sound given its age and terrific performances, IMO. Anyone else heard this? I've got the CD - very good sound quality. An OK performance - nice to hear O'Day with the Goodman band, although she's only on a couple of tracks. For some reason, "Sing Sing Sing" is mistitled "Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen" (BG does quote BMBDS during his solo).
tranemonk
I have the CD. I liked it a lot. Nice to hear Anita from that era.

JSngry
As fine as their respective talents were, I think I'd pay the better money for recordings of any conversations between Anita O'Day and Benny Goodman that occurred on and/or regarding this gig. Pete C
I'm looking forward to the release of the O'Day-D'Imperio dialogues. I don't need it in hi-fi. Edited April 19, 2012 by Pete C

king ubu
Why pay more for FLAC than for the CD, from which FLAC can be made as often as you lose your cloud?
