David Ayers Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 Grr. Thought I didn't care about the 'hard copy' any more. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 I feel for you. The hardships we 'cd collectors' have to endure. Quote
colinmce Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 This happened to me with The Turnaround a while back. It's probably in another case, but which?? Quote
king ubu Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 This happened to me with The Turnaround a while back. It's probably in another case, but which?? In the case of that CD which was in The Turnaround? Or maybe thèy took another turn? Quote
robertoart Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 There's' someone out there I used to know, who has a US Jimmy Smith 'I'm Moving On' cd. Probably still doesn't know it. I've looked for that one everywhere. Had to replace it with the Original Liberty vinyl Quote
colinmce Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 Alas it was empty. This happened to me with The Turnaround a while back. It's probably in another case, but which?? In the case of that CD which was in The Turnaround? Or maybe thèy took another turn? Quote
Quincy Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 I had a scare. I had left disc 1 of the Monk Alone set in the player and my live-in removed it and put in something different. I open up Monk Alone which has a clear tray and see the underside of disc 2 but where is disc 1? In our 20+ years together she's never just left a disc outside its case but maybe this time she put it in sleeve lying about because she couldn't find the Monk case. Where oh where is disc 1? It ends up she put in disc 1 upside down to match the disc on the other side of the tray. And I guess my depth perception a wee bit off as I didn't notice that. Quote
cih Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) You're likely to dislocate a CD if you clean the car... removing all the wrappers, car park tickets, apple cores as well as the pile of CD cases on the passenger seat. The one that is still in the player will thusly be left behind - and when you start loading the car back up with other CDs you'll have to do a relay with the orphaned disc every time you change albums, placing it in the vacant case in order not to scratch it. so I never wash my car.
