relyles Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 (edited) A Sonny Fortune recording that not many people may be aware of is a 2005 live recording on the German Konnex label titled Live At The A-Trane, with the German organ jazz trio featuring Matthias Bätzel, Ernst Bier and Karl Schloz. The program features the group stretching out on five Fortune originals. I do not think there are any other recordings featuring Fortune in the classic organ instrumentation. Very nice performance.
