alankin Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 Clean Feed has some of their items on sale right now. For US customers, the price is $7.50 shipped. Here's the link: http://www.cleanfeed-records.com/discolistagempreco.asp Quote
colinmce Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Thanks. I got the Sharp/Monk, Rudd, the two Gonzalez, Fiedler and a Charles Gayle. Any recommendations on other titles? I'll likely go back later. Quote
JETman Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Ones (on sale) that I have and enjoy are: Michael Attias - Renku in Coimbra Avram Fefer - Ritual Denman Maroney - Udentity WHO Trio - Less is More John O'Gallagher - Dirty Hands Michael Blake/Kresten Osgood - Control This Conference Call - Poetry in Motion BassDrumBone - The Line Up Michael Blake - Right Before Your Very Ears Gerry Hemingway - The Whimbler In addition, you might consider paying full freight for some you don't already have that are not on sale. I haven't seen these cheaper elsewhere, and shipping is free. A couple of my faves are: Mauger (Mahanthappa/Dresser/Hemingway) - The Beautiful Enabler Chris Lightcap - Deluxe This is really a great label. I can't say that everything they release is my cup of tea, but of the many that I have, I'd be hard-pressed to name a clinker. Quote
colinmce Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Thanks. Yes, I've been wanting to check out their stuff for a while and this is a good opportunity to start. They put out so much music that looks good to me that Ive been too daunted to even try to start picking them up. Quote
Stefan Wood Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 (edited) I hate this forum. To be precise, my wallet hates this forum...... Recommend the Steve Swell and Transit cds. Edited March 29, 2012 by Stefan Wood Quote
CraigP Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Of the ones Jetman mentioned, I picked up these two on the sale: Denman Maroney - Udentity Gerry Hemingway - The Whimbler As well as the Butcher with Sten Standell trio and Trio Viriditas Live. Clean Feed has so many good releases it's scary. Quote

And Ned Rothenberg and Mike Sarin aren't too shabby either. Glad I took the plunge! Quote
CraigP Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) Gaga by Maroney with the same group minus Ballou is excellent. It's on Nuscope. (it may or may not be a touching tribute to Lady Gaga ) Edited March 30, 2012 by CraigP Quote

cliffpeterson Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 Did anybody who placed orders with clean feed from their inventory sale receive acknowledgments of their order(s) and/or shipping notice(s)? If so, what was the time delay between placing the order and receiving the acknowledgement? Quote

colinmce Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 Got my shipping notice the next day. Any idea how long it takes for their product to make it ashore? Quote
king ubu Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 So you do have me worrying...But then I ordered on weekend an it's only monday morning in the US, so I'll just wait and see. Quote
Stefan Wood Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 Nothing to worry about. They are pretty speedy, for overseas shipping. Quote
king ubu Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 Yeah, but I got no confirmation yet (other than the automated Paypal one). That's the only thing that might start worrying me in a couple of days. Shipping will take as long as it will... Quote

That's the only thing that might start worrying me in a couple of days. Shipping will take as long as it will... That's the only one you will get. If you're really worried, you can email Pedro Costa (I think he's one of the owners, if not THE owner) at: pcosta@tremazul.com He's a really nice guy! FWIW, I live in New York (the closest North American port to Yurp), and I received my shipment in 8 days. Quote
king ubu Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 Got a confirmation (two in fact) - seems the package is on its way by now! (And from Portugal, too? Had no idea!) Quote
clifford_thornton Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 I really liked a lot of their earlier titles, especially the Porto jazz ones. Quote
