Jazzmoose Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 The thing that bothered me most about the media coverage is they seemed to be more worried Eagles players might be juicing than dealing this guy's death from a heroin overdose and his father's grief. I understand people having that gut reaction, but come on, that's their job. It's what they're supposed to do.If the Jets think trading Tebow or Sanchez is the answer to their problems, they still don't have a clue. Unless part of the deal is a gun to the head, what GM would take either of these? Sanchez is at best a has-been, although that still puts him in a category over Tebow. The Broncos were lucky enough to find someone dumber than they are, but the Jets will be damned lucky to find anyone stupid enough to take either of these players. Of course, Oakland is always a possibility... Quote
alocispepraluger102 Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak said that RB Arian Foster was taken out of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings after suffering from an irregular heartbeat. Quote

Soulstation1 Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 Seahawks could be a tough team come post-season MVP? Peyton or Peterson Quote
Jazzmoose Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 If I had a vote, it would go to Peterson, with no hesitation. Quote
PHILLYQ Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 Seahawks could be a tough team come post-season MVP? Peyton or Peterson You could make a good case for Peterson, but I think Peyton Manning has meant a lot to Denver and he's raised the level of play all across the team.My Giants are dead as doornails, but they did win the big one last year. This year? Which Giant team will show up, the world beaters or the easy to beats? Quote

The NY Giants won because Kyle FREAKING Williams fumbled the NFC Championship away. Had the Niners rightfully gone to the Super Bowl, they would have wiped the floor with Tom Brady and the Patriots. Matthew Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Norv Turner & A.J. Smith fired in San Diego -- four years too late to do any good. Quote
alocispepraluger102 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Although he was fired Monday, former Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid was given a game ball by team owner Jeffrey Lurie. Quote

Tom 1960 Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) Norv Turner should have been gone long ago. What has happened to that team? As for Rex Ryan in NY, I can't believe that bafoon keeps his job. Jets fans deserve better. Edited January 1, 2013 by Tom 1960 Quote
Tim McG Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 I don't get the Lovie Smith firing. 10-6 in a tough division doesn't seem like a valid reason to fire anybody. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 I think it was more the collapse in the second half of the season than the overall record that got Smith. Quote
GA Russell Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Figuring that few of you visit the Canadian league thread, I thought I would double post this article that you might find interesting. Tom Clements and Mike McCoy are being considered for head coaching jobs in the NFL. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/football/former-cfl-quarterback-mike-mccoy-hot-commodity-in-nfl-coaching-circles/article6869575/ Quote

Tim McG Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 I think it was more the collapse in the second half of the season than the overall record that got Smith. Good point. Maybe the Niners will pick him up as an Offensive Coordinator. The one they have now is so predictable, he could mail it in. Quote
