Hardbopjazz Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 I think I've gone to the political forum three times. Also Album Of The Week. Quote
BeBop Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 Politics. Never, unless I find something to post that might be a little controversial, then I'll drop by to post. And split. Quote
J.A.W. Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 (edited) Since I resigned as a moderator I don't visit 13 of the 23 fora anymore and I only rarely visit a few of the others. Edited March 10, 2012 by J.A.W. Quote
paul secor Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 (edited) Since I resigned as a moderator I don't visit 13 of the 23 fora anymore and I only rarely visit a few of the others. I never counted, but I'm surprised that there are that many. There are a number I never/rarely look at. Edited March 11, 2012 by paul secor Quote

Neal Pomea Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 I usually just click the View New Content and go from there. I rarely open a forum directly. Seldom seen: Announcements organissimo -- The band discussion Forums Discussion Album of the Week Blindfold Test Classical Discussion Live Shows & Festivals Musicians' Forum New Releases Offering & Looking For Hammond Zone Quote

View New Content" on my screen, just under the search bar and above "Recent Topics Added". Edited March 11, 2012 by J.A.W. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted March 11, 2012 Author Report Posted March 11, 2012 Ah!!! You learn something new each day and it is a good day. Thanks Quote
mjzee Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 I usually just click the View New Content and go from there. I rarely open a forum directly. Same here. ditto Same here, although I've asked to not see any Political posts. Not being a musician, there's not much in Musician's Forum that interests me. I've never poked around in Album of the Week or Blindfold Test; perhaps I should. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 I try to stay away from the 'Wasn't Ken Burns 'Jazz' rubbish?', 'I hate Wynton', 'Manfred was a stormtrooper', and 'Does anyone else get bothered by KJ's grunting' forums...but it's hard to resist. I assume, by their frequency, they have forums...as a 'View New Content' chap it's hard to tell. Quote

T.D. Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Never thought about it, EXCEPT for Politics, which I make a point of never visiting (should have asked to have it not display...). Everything else is technically possible, since I scan the "New Topics Added". Quote
Brad Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Like most, I check new cogent and don't rule out visiting any of the Fora. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 I must be an oddball...I never use the "new posts" thing. As for forums, the winner by far is The Hammond Zone. Even discography gets a click from me every two or three years, usually a Chewy thread. Quote
Swinging Swede Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 I usually just click the View New Content and go from there. I rarely open a forum directly. Same here. ditto What they said. Quote
Big Beat Steve Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 I rarely use the View New Content function but rather visit my favorite forums fairly regularly. Those I really very rarely look at are the following, in particular: Album of the Week (just off my radar somehow) Blindfold Test (I won't particpate anyway) Classical Discussion (am not really into classics) Live Shows & Festivals (live events in the US are a bit far for me to attend) Musicians' Forum (am not a musician so cann ot contribut - or realte to - musicians' "shop talk") Hammond Zone (not interested in organs, in general) Quote
