Lossing does a great job on Samuel Blaser's Consort in Motion, one of my favorites from last year. I haven't heard any of his Hat Hut stuff, however.

I've got three of the hats and just ordered the impressive Adkins disc from hat (w/Lossing), too. Still need the Blaser though... Lossing sounds like a pretty interesting guy to me, but I got to do some close listening...

As usual, nice original compositions, plus some interesting covers, including Ornette's School Days. I like the addition of a horn player and listening to the results, I think Loren Stillman was a good choice. Recorded in 2009 and released on Fresh Sound New Talent.
