.:.impossible Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 We still have our tree and inside lights & decorations up. Figured that since this past one was the last Christmas ever (2012, etc), we'd do what I've always wanted to do since I can remember - keep the stuff up all January long. And you know what? When this weekend comes, I'll not mind taking it all down, not one bit. A refreshing change from feeling all AWWWWWWWWW....... It's all run it's course, and the tree has just about stopped drinking. Well this tree is just getting started.Ewwww boy. I see there are quite flash few drinking tree bits already. At least I didn't ABD anything. C what I did there Allen? Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 (edited) you never know what a Texan tree might come up with Do they have trees in Texas. I thought it was all cacti next to giant boulders. Edited January 28, 2012 by A Lark Ascending Quote
JSngry Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 We have trees. And good internet as well, in spite of that. Quote
Leeway Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 The holidays are officially over (for me anyway): I finished the last of the Collins Street Bakery Deluxe Fruit Cake, the only edible fruit cake in the world as far as I'm concerned. Fruitcake Made down in Texas, the home of the Rick Perry fruitcake too. Quote
JSngry Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Collin Street Bakery predates Rick Perry by MANY a year (I ate them when I was a wee lad, and I think they were already "old" then, the bakery, not the fruitcakes...), and will, god willing, outlast him just as well! But yeah, that's good stuff. If not for my current weight/blood sugar concerns, I'd eat them year-round, that's how good they are. Quote
BbM7 Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 My son is getting married on 12/21, so I'm on the hook for something no matter what! 12/21/12? Quote
