Particularly sweets, chocs, biscuits and other delectables, because people give us those as well. What we're still getting through, after a month, is: the last few of a half kilo of Wally's chocolate covered Brazils (my favourite); two packets of dates, not yet started; two and a half chocolate oranges; and a Christmas pudding. Figured that since this past one was the last Christmas ever (2012, etc), we'd do what I've always wanted to do since I can remember - keep the stuff up all January long. And you know what? When this weekend comes, I'll not mind taking it all down, not one bit. A refreshing change from feeling all AWWWWWWWWW....... It's all run it's course, and the tree has just about stopped drinking. The guy and his family come down here every December and rent a lot to sell their trees. It's a family tradition with us! I'm going with the Mayan believers. But we can talk December 22nd. I imagine some people will be doing some furious Christmas shopping when they realize they're still on the hook for gifts.
