That sounds rather cool! Thanks!

The new Watts will definitely be better than the crappy Get Back version! (I don't have it, but I was happy to replace the various Get Back Ayler CDs I had, even though I paid a fortune for them.)

I suggest that if they continue with video press releases, they should also create some that are 1 - 2 minutes in length; just the facts, ma'am. Not all of us have the time for 20 - 30 minutes per clip.

That's right!

There doesn't seem to be any details on the ESP-DISK website, so who is actually releasing these discs? Is there somewhere I can find a bit more information about them?

Yeah, it is ESP but they are not really doing much with the website.

which kind of makes it difficult for those of us interested, The promos suggest Dec 11 for release, guess they're not out there yet.

Hope they fixed the error on the Watts CDs of yore. I wrote the notes for the Lowe and it's a burner.

I've been wanting to hear the Wright/Blood Ulmer/Ali stuff for a long time, too.

What is the error in the earlier pressings of the Watts? Tape speed?

Looks as if it has the Pharoah Sanders title (expanded?), the Sun Ra with Black Harold title (expanded?), a Paul Bley and Pharoah Sanders session, and interview segments. I picked and chose bits of the videos because a) I dislike youtube and b) the connection was pokey.

Personally, I'm torn because I really don't like interviews mixed on the same disc with music, and I'm not sure there's enough music I don't have that I have to have here. Perhaps I'll learn more when there's info on the webpage.

As for the material w/ Cherry, I think it's just the session with Joseph Scianni from '64ish that has been floating around on the web. All that would be unfamiliar would be the quartet with Bley, Peacock and Motian that was recorded at the Cellar (if it is indeed what I think it is).
