there's something about getting such good reviews for Blues and the Empirical that makes me want to retire - but only after just one more - the next thing is another song project - working title:

Experiment in Post-Modern Music: Original Sin

participants as of today include:

Peter Stampfel - vocals (from the old Holy Modal Rounders)

Tyshawn Sorey - drums

Kalaparush Maurice McIntryre - tenor

Noah Preminger - tenor

Ursula Oppens - piano

Lewis Porter - piano

Matt Shipp - piano

Darius Jones - alto

Ras Moshe - tenor

Me: comb

Steven Bernstein - trumpet

Randy Sandke - trumpet

Jon Erik Kelso - cornet

Chris Meeder - tuba

Kevin Ray - Bass

these are all confirmed; hope I have not forgotten anybody; the music is about 80 percent finished; these will be in a number of different combinations; I also hope to film the session. The only thing I can guarantee is that Chuck Nessa will not be able to lsiten to the whole thing -

well, we're probably going to do one long session. But I can probably sneak you in, if you want.

BTw - left out two important participants:

William Gay, the novelist, is going to read something for the CD; and Curt Hasselbring will be on trombone.

Wow, have you considered brokering a middle east peace settlement?

Send my regards to Kevin Ray. Have you met Dave Ross, who often plays guitar with Ras?

You can use access to the sessions as/for a fundraising tool. It's been done before by some of those ArtistShare projects.

Seriously.

Sackville Records used to do that. I paid to be present for the Don Pullen solo record.

Pete - I don't know Ross. Will have to check him out.

one of the more interesting things is that my prime contacts for this project have been made through - Facebook,.

don't know if you guys know William Gay; great Southern writer, there's 2 movies from his books. He seems to like my work, and he's going to read something for this project.

Perhaps the group can get gigs through the Facebooking agency?

If y'all face it, the Lowe and Beholds will—almost overnight—accumulate more friends than there are notes in 100 Bird solos.
