Michael's Milk. The stuff they give you to put you under. One second you're looking at the IV saying, "All right, but whatever you gotta do nobody goes near my ass." The next second you're waking up, except it's a half hour later. ... and you can't drive.

I didn't take any anesthesia. I had to get to work after the procedure, and they advised me that such a thing would not be possible with anesthesia. So...

Hey, I'm 56, been married for 28 years, raised two kids, etc. I'm accustomed to short-term discomfort in the service of long-term good...just another day in paradise, this one was.

Besides, i had the whole thing on a tV right in front of me. I'm used to TV as an anesthetic. Most Americans are.
