Winter Rose

The weather in New York has been well above normal so far for this time a year. In fact today the temperature is more like early April than late December. A rose bush near where I live is sprouting flowers.

I've still got roses blooming! We've not had many frosts so far this year.

Me too - one of my two patio roses is still in bloom. A mild Winter here in the NW so far too.

Everything in the garden should be dead.

But there are various climbers still with leaves; and the buds are already appearing on the trees.

At this rate the frogs will be going for it in the pond in a fortnight.

Same here in Cornwall. No frosts so far, but plenty of rain and mild. Lots of flowers still out, camelias etc, and the hydrangeas still have colour in them.
