I think this thread is about the Stan Kenton set The Complete Capitol Recordings of the Holman and Russo Charts (Mosaic MD4-136), not about the Kenton Presents Bob Cooper, Bill Holman and Frank Rosolino set (Mosaic MD4-185). There ARE some great Rosolino tracks including his feature "Frank Speaking". So I stand by my for Frank! Quote
king ubu Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 So did I think... don't have the set, but would love to get it... much (or all?) of it can be pieced together with the individual Capitol CDs that came out some years back, though.Btw, FFA: I recently heard you play on that Francine Griffin disc on Delmark - 's nice! sidewinder Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 Great set - and a reminder to pull out the vinyl and give this one a spin ! The booklet is fascinating too. Quote
ghost of miles Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Just found a like-new set from a reputable seller online for $90 and bit... this is one that I always regretted missing, even though I picked up some of the material on individual CD reissues. Quote
