This article mentions that he was screwed by Jerry Goldstein. A lot of people were, including the members of the "Low Rider Band," most of the former members of War.

The only surprising thing in the article is that he was apparently living la dolce vita as recently as 4 years ago. I thought he'd blown his money decades before, and, frankly, was not even sure he was still alive until I saw the article.

most of you who have posted are obviously aware that this has been a long time coming. he may have been screwed by Goldstein or whomever, but the truth is that Sly has consistently screwed himself for decades. totally self-destructive and irresponsible. having said that, it's interesting to note that he doesn't seem to upset about his new "home".
