Chalupa Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 While I don't have it too often, I do enjoy Ben & Jerry's "Cherry Garcia". Oh yeah. And a close second for me is Coffee Heath Bar Crunch. Quote
Larry Kart Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 I'm plebian -- Edy's Peanut Butter Cup. When Edy's is on sale for 2/$5, I go a little crazy and almost fill the freezer. Quote
Chicago Expat Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 This has been getting stocked in the fridge lately... They have a red velvet cake one, too, but I don't like it as much. Quote
Indestructible! Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 I've got two favorites: 1.) Tiger (combination of orange and black licorice) 2.) Grape (hard as hell to find, but so damn good) Quote
Leeway Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 I love Wisconsin style frozen custard: This place is near enough to my house (in Virginia) to pose a danger to my health and well-being I also like Rita's Gelato (not a true gelato but delicious combo of Italian ice and custard). Sorry, i got carried away! Quote
ValerieB Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 i love me some good old coffee ice cream and that old Jamoca Almond Fudge, for sure, but a real treat is some home-made black raspberry!!! love good cocoanut ice cream as well. oooooowwweeeee! but, guess what: i hardly ever allow myself to eat the stuff. mainly i'll indulge in that Skinny Cow stuff. it's not bad, actually! EKE BBB Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 Turrón (Spanish type of candy eaten at Christmas, typically made of ground almonds with a fudge-like consistency) Quote
jostber Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 This looks quite nice, fish taste! Eel taste: Whale taste: The Japanese truly like the flavors from the sea. Raw horsemeat ice cream: A garlic ice cream called Dracula: Yum. Quote
Brownian Motion Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Make mine Almond Suet! Funny you should say that. About 40 years ago one of the major meat packers (I keep thinking Hormel, but I don't think it was Hormel) decided to start producing ice cream. Their ice cream recipe called for lots of purified lard for extra smoooothness. It was a bust. Quote
michel devos Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 I spent last week 4 days in Italy : they have some fine Hammond players over there and probably the best ice cream in the world...That is at least what an ice cream shop advertised in Verona : he might be right for his Tiramisu and white peach ! The nice thing is that some of you, the ones residing in NY or LA, have the possibility to check that themselves, this brand is also manufactured locally in the US, check this link and enjoy : http://www.grom.it/eng/index.php Quote
porcy62 Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Fruits flavors generally. The best ice creams in Italy are hand crafted in Sicily. When I am there I use to eat big ice creams instead of breakfast and lunch. And don't forget the granita (slush)! Quote
LAL Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 Kimchi ice cream - sweet, spicy, tiny bits of chewy fermented cabbage - real nice. Quote
