That would be cool if it were truuuuuuue.

No booing, I assure you. Earlier during the pregame festivities, Bledsoe received a standing ovation from the crowd when he was introduced as an honorary captain.

With the talent the Giants have on both sides of the ball, is there any way they aren't the favorites? the only way the Pats win is if Brady plays out of his mind and the Giants offense forgets to show up.

Haven't seen anything in print or on-line about why the Ravens were so disorganized and hurried getting off that final field goal attempt (I yelled about this as it was happening, not after the fact) -- didn't everyone on the sideline know that's what they were going to do? -- and further, on that late Ravens drive that ended with a failed half-assed third-down running play call on (I think) third-and-three after a time out (half-assed because it was a play that relied on cutsily faking out the Patriots, not on skill or power) why did John Harbaugh angrily push away offensive co-ordinator Cam Cameron before he called that time out. Seems like the Ravens' sideline was aleady f----- up.

Another boring Superbowl where I hate both teams. Joy. I might even skip it entirely this year.

Since my hate for the Giants is all-consuming and the Patriots are just an annoyance...I hope the Pats absolutely DESTROY Big-Ego-Blue.

All I wanted to see was a Packers-Saints showdown for the NFC title. That would have been way cool.

Was that asking too much? Apparently so. I got two really good games instead, but two plates of spaghetti when you're hungry for one bowl of chili is not satisfying, no matter how good the spaghetti is.

The NFL owes me lunch.

notable nfl quotes from the recent news wires---

White Sox GM Kenny Williams on his son, 49ers punt returner Kyle Williams, receiving death threats after Sunday's loss: "I have to hear about threats on your son's life while you're watching TV and it certainly makes you question our culture of sports as it stands."

Appearing on ESPN's "First Take" Monday morning, Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs tells Skip Bayless: "Be an analyst. Don't be a douchebag"

i wonder whar the raveies were saving their timeouts for?

Between Billy Cundiff and Kyle Williams, you can probably try to upgrade that to a really nice dinner.

i enjoy watching football most in solitude, with the redundant sound, commercials, and captions mute. that way, i can soak in the beauty, irony, joy, and tragedy of the games, the magnificent athletes, and the fallibility of split second decisions made by very competitive young men in the heat of battle.

i disdain crowds and the noise of athletic events.

No relish trays. I must make that clear.

i heard distressing news today that the ny giants targetted kick returner kyle williams because he had had 4 previous concussions and would be easy to knock out of the game. this quote, of course, will be 'misquoted' and 'inaccurate.'

this comment came from the giants fumble recovery man devon thomas.
