Tim McG
Dear Jed York. Please dump Alex Smith. He sucks. He will always suck. Thank you. Signed, Had Enough +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ And what was that "do over" because the replay machine wasn't working bullshit? You give the Arizona coach what he wants anyway? San Francisco got homered by the refs. It ultimately cost the Niners the game on Sunday. JSngry
And what was that "do over" because the replay machine wasn't working bullshit? That happened in your game too? Happened on the second half kickoff return of the Packers/Raiders game as well. The Packers returner stepped OOB about 15 yards before he was called out. Raiders challenge, but OOPS! the replay system isn't working, sorry, no challenge. I've never heard of such a thing!

Yes, and could be the second seed. Not bad. Some QBs take a long while to develop. Maybe he's finally arriving.

The guy still has to refer to plays taped to his arm. Besides, he's a statue in the pocket. If I want to look at a statue, I'll drive a few miles North to ATT Park to look at Willie Mays or Juan Marichal. And what was that "do over" because the replay machine wasn't working bullshit? In the Niners game the opposing bench got the better deal...and they made the challenge. Cost the Niners the game, too. Tim McG
Meanwhile, Ron Jaworski continues to echo what I have been saying all along: Alex Smith sucks. To wit: Ron Jaworski: 49ers QB Alex Smith still lacking proper mechanics.

Aggie87
Whodathunk it would have been the Chiefs to derail the Packers' perfect season? That, AND the Colts won! Craziness.
Tim McG
And Texans are looking real good right now, too. Those your guys Aggie or are you a Dallas fan? *************************************************** Here's hopin' the Niners D and running attack show for Monday Night F-Ball vs Pittsburgh. Not much hope Alex Smith will do anything more than hit the panic button all night. Edited December 19, 2011 by GoodSpeak
.:.impossible
I saw Houston play for the first time today against my Panthers. I understand they had a bad game, but Arian Foster definitely looked good, as did the defense for most of the third quarter. Other than that, unless they just had a really bad game, I don't see a long season for them.

Tim McG
It is the primary reason the Niners are 11-3, too. No QB, but a monster defense. And I still can't figure out why they left Roethlisberger in the game during the 4th quarter. Pittsburgh is in the playoffs, but if they lose Big Ben, all is lost. Noj
That game last night is a blowout if Alex Smith was a bit more consistent with his accuracy. He missed a sure TD in the endzone and several long passes down the sideline where receivers were behind the coverage. He's still fairly serviceable, and had some really nice plays with his feet. It doesn't happen often, but teams with that sort of QB have managed to win the Superbowl.

Smith, they would be unstoppable.
PHILLYQ
I'm amazed that the Iggles are still alive. If they beat Dallas and Washington and the Giants lose to the Jets and then beat Dallas for the finale, all three teams are 8-8 and the Iggles get the division crown on tiebreakers. I'm a disgusted Giants fan, so this scenario sound like fun to me, especially if the Iggles get hot and maybe run the table, an 8-8 team hoisting the trophy. Take that, Goodell!!! Jim R
Nobody cares about the NFL playoffs? What an incredible 4th quarter in the Niners - Saints game!!! :excited: :excited: Incredible indeed. The whole game was pretty incredible to me. I knew the Saints weren't going away after we got up early, and there was a lot of drama surrounding the primary question of who would survive the battle of the Niners D vs Saints O. It turned out to be a classic nailbiter, and that ending (especially Alex Smith making multiple big plays) was not something that anybody was expecting. MartyJazz
Probably because Dan realizes that most Giant fans also happen to be Yankee fans. (But there is a significant minority of Giant fans who root for the Mets, as well as Jet fans, such as myself, who like the Yanks. This is to be expected from a city with 2 MLB teams and 2 NFL teams.)
