Just wanted to hip every one here to the fact that all tomorrow afternoon and into the evening, we will be honoring Tommy Flanagan's birthday by playing recordings from every period of his long and storied career.

He would have been 74 this Tuesday, and - despite the resurgence of acclaim late in his life - is still one of jazz most underrated pianists... always the kind of player that seemed to be taken for granted. Well, not here... we love him and want to share some of his great music with the world.

Tune in here from 10am on to dig on some great music from the 50s on up to today.

Oh, and gdogus and others that have asked: looks like sometime in the near future we are going to be able to run these at 128 kbps. I'll keep you updated as to exactly when it happens, but hopefully you'll read that as one of those "Ask and ye shall receive" moments.... ;)
