colllin Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 I'm about to run out of my first can of Gruv Glide record cleaner. Often, a dry cloth is not enough, but deep cleaning (Nitty Gritty style) isn't necessary. I figure there must be something cheeper to spray on the Gruve Glide pads that will get the same results. Suggestions? Quote
Bigshot Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) I clean extremely dirty records with a 50-50 mix of distilled water and white vinegar. Once they're clean you can maintain them with a couple of drops of distilled water on a cleaning pad. If you want, you can put a very tiny bit of glycerine photoflo in as a wetting agent, but it isn't absolutely necessary. Edited June 22, 2011 by Bigshot Quote
