Connors played just one game with the Dodgers, but 66 with the Chicago Cubs in 1951. He was also on the roster for the original Boston Celtics in 1946 when they were part of the Basketball Association of America. That makes him just one of 12 athletes to have played in both the NBA and MLB. Oh yeah, he was also drafted by the NFL's Chicago Bears.

I can think of Gene Conley, Dave DeBusscher (sp?) and Bill Sharman. Who else played pro basketball and major league baseball?

Also, here's an unrelated but interesting piece of trivia I came across while I was researching this. St. Louis pitcher extraordinaire, Bob Gibson, played with the Harlem Globetrotters in 1957 and 1958.
