GA Russell
I haven't seen that photo of Marilyn before!
Dave James
I haven't seen that photo of Marilyn before! It's from a book called Marilyn, Mon Amor. Here's a link to a site that has 41 early photos of Monroe. http://www.everlasting-star.net/galleries/dedienes/

Stereojack
I've been meaning to submit this lady for some time, and I keep forgetting. Angie Dickinson?
Dave James
Dorothy Provine?
GA Russell
Nope and nope! I think that Dorothy Provine is a particularly good guess, Dave. I should have thought of her before. Hint: Born in 1930. IMO, her name is more famous than her face. That is to say, her work is widely respected, but not many people have seen it! paul secor
Gena Rowlands? Couldn't think of her name & had to google John Cassavetes to be reminded of it. Guess that's what years will do.

Dave James
You'll need a hint for this. Peter Breck?
GA Russell
Nope, but that's a really close guess, Dave. Think '50s Warner Bros. TV westerns.
paul secor
Given that clue, I'll say possibly Clint Walker. Didn't he die some time ago?
GA Russell
Correct, Paul! It's Clint Walker. I've been thinking about picking up the DVD box of the first season of Cheyenne. Wikipedia says that he is still alive and active. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Walker
JSngry
In the Dodgers' uniform, guess who?
Chuck Nessa
Chuck Connors?
JSngry
It is indeed. Connors was a prospect in the Brooklyn Dodgers system before devoting his energies to a full-time acting career.
Dave James
Connors played just one game with the Dodgers, but 66 with the Chicago Cubs in 1951. He was also on the roster for the original Boston Celtics in 1946 when they were part of the Basketball Association of America. That makes him just one of 12 athletes to have played in both the NBA and MLB. Oh yeah, he was also drafted by the NFL's Chicago Bears. GA Russell
I can think of Gene Conley, Dave DeBusscher (sp?) and Bill Sharman. Who else played pro basketball and major league baseball?
Dave James
I can think of Gene Conley, Dave DeBusscher (sp?) and Bill Sharman. Who else played pro basketball and major league baseball? Here are the names I've come up with. Not very many of them are what I'd call well known. Dick Groat Steve Hamilton Ron Reed Dick Ricketts Danny Ainge Cotton Nash Mark Hendrickson Frank Baumholtz Also, here's an unrelated but interesting piece of trivia I came across while I was researching this. St. Louis pitcher extraordinaire, Bob Gibson, played with the Harlem Globetrotters in 1957 and 1958.
