GA Russell Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Evan, your photo has the guy's name on it! I haven't seen his picture in nearly forty years, so he is another one I'm sure I would not have recognized without being told. Here's one I'm sure that Brownie will get, but I doubt an American will beat him to it! GA Russell Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 He's another one with his name on the photo! You need to do something about that! But in this case I guessed correctly before I saw the name. I met him in '69 and again a year later when I was interviewing jazz musicians for my college radio station. Quote
brownie Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Why should I recognize him? He's not even French While I was away in deepest France these last days and out of a really workable internet connection, I was lurking at the Board off and on but could not easily open the images, I noticed that many of the entries in this thread carried the signature identification of the person that we were supposed to identify! sidewinder Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Why should I recognize him? He's not even French Must be Daniel Humair then.. Quote

Yes, this thread requires the use of the honor system. There must be a way to delete the identifying markers. Perhaps saving the image onto one's computer and then changing the name of the file? GA Russell Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 This might be a difficult photo. There are plenty that are too easy. Quote
GA Russell Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Correct, Chuck! It's Dinah Shore! Quote
GA Russell Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 I'd say you have to be an American of precisely the right age to remember this lovely lady! Quote
GA Russell Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 OK, I was afraid she might be too obscure. Here's the first hint: I believe that she recorded for Capitol in the mid-60s. Quote
JSngry Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Ok, I cheated, and I certainly should know the name, but...don't. I will say, though, that if you're into ladies who have not necessarily "aged well" (whatvever that means...), she's ain't really one of 'em! Quote
paul secor Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Another cheater here. She was someone whose name I read but whose records I never heard. Quote
GA Russell Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 I wish you guys had waited for more hints! LOL There are only a finite number of guys who might get her anyway. Here's the second hint. She was a regular on Shindig. Quote
GA Russell Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Third hint: I'm pretty sure that she was a featured co-star in Beach Blanket Bingo. The fourth and final hint will give it away. Speaking of Shindig, here's a picture of her with Bobby Sherman from their Shindig days. Quote
GA Russell Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Jim, you cheated! You didn't give me the chance to give the fourth hint, which was that for a couple of years ca. 1965-'66 she was in all the Dr Pepper commercials! Quote
JSngry Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Sorry, the lady was looking too good! Quote
