marcello Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Herbie Mann or Mitch Miller or both. Nope! But he played with Herbie Mann! Now I have it (I think). It's Dave Pike. By the way, earlier this year a fan of Joe Locke's, who is a senior VP of the company that owns the Empire State Building, to me, Joe, Clarence Penn and some of our families, way above the observation deck you see here. I mean right under the conning tower you see on top, with only a knee high wall separating us from flying off the building. Locke and I were scared shitless! Clarence and the others were fearless, including my daughter who kept leaning over that short wall to take photos! Quote
GA Russell Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Correct, marcello! It's Dave Pike! I can't say that I've heard a lot of him over the years, but I've liked everything I've heard. Quote
marcello Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I believe that Dave Pike lives in the Bay Area. Quote

GA Russell Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Correct, Chuck! I figured you would remember what she looked like at a younger age. I met her in a department store in suburban DC in 1974. I think she was there to promote something with her name on it, maybe a perfume. She was in her mid-forties then, and still looked great! Quote
ValerieB Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Mitzi Gaynor. Correct, Chuck! I figured you would remember what she looked like at a younger age. I met her in a department store in suburban DC in 1974. I think she was there to promote something with her name on it, maybe a perfume. Dave James Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Dave, I think I saw that photo recently. Is it Michelle Bachmann? Nope. It's a long, long ways from Michele Bachmann. Quote
Dave James Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Nope. Like the Paris Hiltons and Kim Kardashians of the world, she is pretty much famous for being famous. Quote
