Jazz Groove Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 (edited) Just a to pass along this little note. I know this was a session that many have been looking for. I saw it being offered on ebay for buy now for $40. A little to steep. I already have it and must say it does swing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=43620 Edited January 7, 2004 by Jazz Groove Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 I don't think it's worth paying more than $20 for. I think I paid $23 for mine. These things come up at reasonable prices eventually. Quote
JohnJ Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Yeah, just keep looking. I picked up a copy for around $12 at a used store in Tokyo recently. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Hey, I've reached the point where I'll just wait for the eventual reissue. Compared to many here, my jazz collection is miniscule; there's plenty in print that I need as much as pricey out of print stuff, particularly from an artist with plenty in print. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Not exactly one of my favorite Mobleys either. Quote
undergroundagent Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Another CD in which the mystery exceeds the quality...kind of like "Sonic Boom" when it was only released as a TOCJ. Quote
riverrat Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I agree with conn on this (although our political views differ). There are plenty of in print Mobleys that are better than this one, IMO. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I agree with conn on this (although our political views differ). Don't worry RR, not too many people apparently share my politics. Quote
wulfman Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I beg to differ about the session...of course I'm the one selling the CD Remember, starting price is $9.99. I just put the $40 BIN up there on a whim. Quote
undergroundagent Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I didn't look at the auction...that is actually a terrific price with no reserve. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Remember, starting price is $9.99. Duh...I zeroed in on the BIN and didn't even consider the starting price. Well, I'm sure someone will bid... Quote
