B. Goren. Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 From CD Universe Website: Saxophonist James Carter's 2011 release Caribbean Rhapsody is a collaboration with classical composer Roberto Sierra and features the piece "Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra," which premiered in Detroit in 2002. Produced by Michael Cuscuna, the album also includes a guest appearance by Carter's cousin, violinist Regina Carter. I didnt know that Regina is his cousin but anyway, I'm looking forward to listen to it. Quote

ornette Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Looks interesting - any more info? While we're at it: Has anybody heard of these? I've got the first one. Ordered from the label website in Holland. Efficient service. A very listenable cd but JC is really only a soloist. There is some music by the band on, I think, youtube. Quote
