These are a relatively recent phenomenon..at least relative to when I put one on Sorcerer...1979, maybe? No later than 1985. Hell, I don't know. I went from not caring to caring back to not caring.

It's kind of a neat thing, though...kinda like an indelible mark that these records have lived with each other long enough that they've been marked for life by each other...

An analog artifact on another analog artifact, which is as it should be, like wrinkles and grey hairs and toenails that don't grow right any more.

I didn't say me, nor did I mean me.

But it happens to a lot of people when they start getting old. It will probably happen to you, and it will probably happen to me too..

Now, does your back cover of Sorcerer have an orange ring on it?

It seems I am also still so young and free that I don't have time to sort my LPs into chronological order. Although I did have time to put them in sleeve covers.

My first copy of 'Sorcerer' was/is an Italian mid-1970s issue from a time when the chance of finding 'Sorcerer' in any UK vinyl shops was about the same as picking up a Sun Ra Saturn. It actually sounds very good - although these days I tend to spin the US 2-eye and the mega box CD set version more. Always thought this one was very under-rated on the whole. Beautifully recorded.
