Someone's been drinking way too much Kool-Aid. Quote
Neal Pomea Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 His remarks in the interview about pretending on Twitter and Facebook, to me, were spot on, i.e., on the spot. He knocked it kisser in, i.e., in the kisser. Quote
papsrus Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Well, due to some unusual circumstances, I find myself up at 5 a.m. (Eastern Time) and watching the Royal Wedding on CNN. Quote

MI5 have invaded your house and are compelling you? That boat you had dispatched a week or so ago has arrived. (actually, I had to take my dog to the emergency vet tonight. They had it on in the waiting room as well.) Quote
alankin Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 There are some strange looking people on the television. Quote
sidewinder Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 There are some strange looking people on the television. No kidding ! Where else are you going to see Elton John standing next to the Admiral of the (ex) Fleet and sining hymns? Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 There are some strange looking people on the television. All that Saxe-Coburg inbreeding (remember Elton Saxe-Coburg?) with a dash of Greek. Quote
alankin Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 A lot of high foreheads standing around. Quote
Dan Gould Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 (actually, I had to take my dog to the emergency vet tonight. They had it on in the waiting room as well.) Finally, something important mentioned in this thread. Is he doing OK? Hope its nothing serious or distressing. Quote
Dave James Posted April 29, 2011 Author Report Posted April 29, 2011 A lot of high foreheads standing around. Out here on the left coast, we like to call them fiveheads. Quote

king ubu Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Wot, was there a decapitation and I missed it? Sorry about your dog, paps, hope he'll be fine again! Quote
aparxa Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 I was in London around noon but managed to escape from the madness Quote
Royal Oak Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 I had the good fortune to be working today, so missed the whole thing. IMHO, an interest in the Royal Family is a fundamental personality flaw. Quote

J.A.W. Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 We had the same madness - well, not quite on that scale - 9 years ago. Made me wish we still had a republic; we had one for over 200 years, then Napoleon came and went (on a lovely vacation on St. Helena; he loved it so much he decided not to come back this time ) and Prince William of Orange and the Vienna Congress forced a kingdom upon us, and now the majority here love it... [sigh] Quote
king ubu Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 well, I gladly volunteer to send my jacobins! Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Each society keeps its own crap. Be happy. Quote
bertrand Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 At a Hot Tuna gig in Virginia tonight, Jorma Kaukonen dedicated 'If This Is Love (I Want My Money Back)' to the royals. Bertrand. Quote
