mooche Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 (edited) I would like to share this with you in case you haven't noticed it. Shades of Chets by Enrico Rava & Paolo Fresu got audiophile treatment and is now available on 2 x 45rpm vinyl released by fonè Records: http://www.fone.it/shop/shop.php?action=mostraScheda&cID=1&pID=112 Heard the news on its arrival and quickly ran to the shop to purchase it. I cannot comment the sound quality but it sounds excellent to my ear. Edited March 18, 2011 by mooche Quote
mikeweil Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Foné has the reputation of being Italy's No. 1 audiophile label, so the sound should be excellent. Minimal microphones, highest quality equipment, excellent sounding recording rooms etc. - I have a classical piano recording that sounds superb. I must have an article somewhere about the label. mooche Posted March 18, 2011 Author Report Posted March 18, 2011 I was a bit surprised when I saw the vinyl of Stefano Bollani's L'orchestra del Titanic on fonè because I thought fonè focus on new recording only. Now I hope that there will be more reissues on Italian Jazz in the future. Quote
