jlhoots Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 New CD coming soon. I'm optimistic about it. Quote
mjazzg Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 (edited) I was at the gig. From memory, you're right to be optimistic. Local band featuring the very impressive Robert Mitchell on piano Edited February 16, 2011 by mjazzg Quote
Guest Bill Barton Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Definitely will be keeping my eyes open for this one... Her relatively recent presentation of Coin Coin in Seattle was brilliant. Some of the most emotionally compelling music that I've ever witnessed. Quote

Some of the most emotionally compelling music that I've ever witnessed. .....eagerly anticipating I read in the current Jazzwise that Coin Coin is slated for release on Constellation later this year. I've only read about the project and I'm excited enough by that prospect so for those of you lucky enough to have witnessed it live.... She's playing a duet with Seb Rochford here in London a week or so. I hope to make that one Quote
jlhoots Posted March 4, 2011 Author Report Posted March 4, 2011 Live In London arrived. It's really good (IMO). Quote
The Rep Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 Is it my imagination or does a some of her phrasing sound like Joe Harriott? Quote
kh1958 Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 After receiving Coin Coin this week, listening to the CD three times yesterday (and liking it very much), I ordered Live in London today. Quote

mjazzg Posted June 14, 2015 Report Posted June 14, 2015 Mine's just arrived. Will be listening very soon Quote
king ubu Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Thanks for the reminder - just ordered mine, throwing in the recent Shipp, which I've been curious about for a while (ordered straight from the label, btw - seems they're crazy enough to offer free international shipping). Quote
2scoops Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Thanks for the reminder - just ordered mine, throwing in the recent Shipp, which I've been curious about for a while (ordered straight from the label, btw - seems they're crazy enough to offer free international shipping). How did you manage that - on the website it states free domestic shipping or a flat $10 international shipping for up to 3 items? I have found it more economical to order from Instant Jazz, no risk of customs charges then either. Quote
mjazzg Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Well they certainly charged me postage to the UK. Perhaps Zurich (or just Ubu) as a special arrangement as the 53rd state of US? very efficient service from RP and parcel flew under the custom radar Quote

king ubu Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Okay, I was asked to send more for shipping ... and just did so, of course. Still weird, but main thing is getting those CDs! Quote

king ubu Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Well, I just went through the moves, Paypal was pre-filled ... should I have changed the sum myself, even when it explicitly stated 0 for shipping? Weird, but I guess that was some kind of bug. Quote
